Porsche opens Australian orders for Cayenne Electric

Porsche has listed the Cayenne Electric in its Australian press material, with the company’s product release saying the all-electric SUV models are available to order now and are expected to arrive in Australia from the third quarter of 2026. The same release gives Australian pricing of $167,800 for the Cayenne Electric and $259,900 for the Cayenne Turbo Electric. ¹²¹⁶

Porsche says the new Cayenne Electric family marks the beginning of a new era for the model line. It initially comprises two all-wheel-drive versions, the Cayenne Electric and the Cayenne Turbo Electric, both using electronic Porsche Traction Management. ¹²

Battery and performance

According to Porsche, the standard Cayenne Electric produces 300kW in normal driving and 325kW with Launch Control, while the Turbo Electric develops up to 850kW and 1,500Nm with Launch Control. Porsche quotes 0-100km/h times of 4.8 seconds for the base model and 2.5 seconds for the Turbo. ¹²

Both versions use a 113kWh high-voltage battery and 800-volt charging architecture. Porsche says DC charging can reach up to 390kW under specific conditions, with a 10-to-80 per cent charge taking less than 16 minutes in testing. Chasing Cars says the pack is 113kWh gross and 108kWh usable. ¹²⁶

Porsche says the new electric Cayenne models complement the existing combustion and hybrid Cayenne range, which will continue to be offered in parallel worldwide. ¹²
